Could Agnes Nixon's beloved soap opera All My Children get a third chance at life? According to behind-the-scenes buzz, it's definitely a possibility.
The world of Pine Valley was thrown back into the TV spotlight last week when Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) hosted an entire week of Hallmark's Home & Family, including an episode in which stars like Michael E. Knight (ex-Tad Martin), Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt), Peter Bergman (ex-Cliff Warner, AMC; Jack Abbott, The Young and the Restless), and Eva LaRue (ex-Maria Santos) reunited for the first time since ABC cancelled the show in 2011 and it had a brief stint online with Prospect Park.
LaRue posted a photo of the AMC reunion on her Instagram account along with the caption, "Repeating the Rumor that #AllMyChildren could make a comeback on Netflix...??!!! What do you think? I think it could be cool to see it re-imagined outside the soap-box and shot like a nighttime soap."
The "rumor" LaRue referred to may have stemmed from a fan positing Lucci if she would consider reprising the role of Erica Kane if the show were to be revived on another platform such as Netflix.
Fans immediately began responding in support of such a move, with some pointing out that Netflix has done an amazing job at bringing Gilmore Girls and Fuller House back to life (the latter of which stars LaRue as Danny Tanner's wife, Teri).

When asked on Twitter if there was any chance that All My Children or One Life to Live would return in some form now that ABC has regained the rights to both shows, a former OLTL exec replied that he would not be surprised to see one of the shows rebooted by summer. While AMC seems to have been the focus of much of the reboot talk, One Life to Live will continue its synergistic relationship with General Hospital when Emmy winner Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan) pops up on the show later this year.
Nothing has been confirmed at this time, but fan buzz certainly couldn't hurt when it comes to nudging Netflix into possibly picking up or reimagining All My Children and also its sister soap, One Life to Live.
