Cecile DePoulignac was one of Bay City's most deceitful residents, and actress Nancy Frangione was a hoot playing the mischievous vixen, whose lovers included Cass, Jamie, and Sandy.
Sadly, the Another World favorite passed away this week at the age of 70 in Barnstable, Mass. A cause of death was not disclosed.
Frangione joined the show in June of 1981, and her character immediately caused havoc, with Cecile becoming involved in a scandalous love triangle with Sandy and Blaine. The actress played the role until 1984, with various returns through the years up until 1996.
The actress began her soap career on All My Children, playing Tara Martin for a handful of episodes from 1977 to 1979. She also stepped in at One Life to Live as a Tina Lord recast for a short stint in 1985.
Among Frangione's primetime credits were guest spots on The Nanny, Matlock, Highway to Heaven, and Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century.
The entire Soap Central staff sends condolences to Frangione's family, friends, and fans.
