JANUARY 1998
January 5 to 9, 1998
Josie left for the FBI training course. Paulina and Joe argued about her drug use and moving into the Cory mansion. Alexander held Matt hostage. After Alexander and Carl's plane exploded, Alexander was presumed dead. Shane told Vicky he was in remission.
January 12 to 16, 1998
Cindy realized Grant had started the fire at Paulina's and threatened to turn him in. Alexander was alive and still determined to ruin Carl. Sofia and Nick announced their engagement. Rachel shot and killed Alexander when he attempted to kill her and Carl.
January 19 to 23, 1998
Donna and Michael helped Sofia and Nick plan their wedding. Shane prepared to leave town after Vicky asked him to. Grant tried to find out where Cindy had sent the bug pin, not knowing it was with Paulina. Jake and Joe argued over Paulina.
January 26 to 30, 1998
Grant rushed to cover up his involvement in the fire as more people became suspicious. Lila planned to get pregnant with Matt's baby and pass it off as Shane's. Carl walked out on Rachel after learning she'd been covering for Amanda.

FEBRUARY 1998
February 2 to 6, 1998
Vicky and Shane were appointed cochairs of a hospital committee. Jake and Vicky made plans to move to New York. Michael and Donna rekindled their romance. Matt discovered Lila's lies about Shane's illness.
February 9 to 13, 1998
Due to Cindy's lies, Joe didn't believe Paulina was sober and threatened to take custody of their son. Sophia and Nick celebrated their upcoming wedding. Michael's car crashed into Shane's as Shane was driving Vicky home.
February 16 to 20, 1998
Sophia fought with Paulina after learning Paulina and Joe were separated. Michael and Shane were declared dead after the car crash. Vicky hid her involvement in the crash at Donna's insistence so Jake wouldn't know Vicky had been at the cabin with Shane.
February 23 to 27, 1998
Lila tried to prove to Jake that Vicky had been at the cabin with Shane. Josie and Gary had a happy reunion. Josie was upset to learn the FBI had questioned Gary. Matt and Lila argued over the paternity of Lila's baby. Friends and family attended Michael's funeral.

MARCH 1998
March 2 to 6, 1998
Someone was reenacting one of Felicia's books, and Felicia warned Cass that the character based on Cass died in the book. Josie worried Gary didn't want to have a family. Marley was unable to forgive Vicky after learning the truth about the crash.
March 9 to 13, 1998
Carl told Paulina that Joe was planning to take custody of Dante. Joe realized Grant, not Paulina, was behind the fire. Gary told Josie his brother was in prison. Lila got Jake arrested in connection with Shane's accident. Paulina went on the run with Dante.
March 16 to 20, 1998
Joe searched for Paulina and Dante. The truth about the night of the crash emerged when Vicky took the stand at Jake's trial. Vicky didn't believe Grant when he told her he was no longer seeking sole custody of Kirkland.
March 23 to 27, 1998
Lila continued to try to convince Matt her baby wasn't his. Jake told Vicky their marriage was over. Nick was frustrated Sophia wanted to continue putting off their wedding. The Bay City police worked on a plan to nail Grant.
March 30 to April 3, 1998
Jake distracted Grant while Gary secretly put the tape back into trash. A frightened Paulina decided to flee with Dante. Cass found Felicia with her head in the oven.

APRIL 1998
April 6 to 10, 1998
Paulina and Joe grew closer. Nick was upset to find a nude sketch of Sophia at Matt's place. Cass became increasingly upset about the coincidences happening that related to Felicia's book. Michael's family watched a video he'd recorded before his death.
April 13 to 17, 1998
Cameron, the new Cory chauffeur, obsessed over Amanda. Carl rearranged Cory Publishing so Matt and Amanda could not do anything without his approval. Sophia told Nick she wasn't sure she still wanted to get married. Carl's health began to deteriorate.
April 20 to 24, 1998
Amanda found a gun in Cameron's room. Jake asked Vicky for a divorce. Rachel thought she heard Mac's voice. Cameron, actually a plant from the FBI, met with Josie to discuss their case. Cass figured out Lila was lying about her baby's paternity.
April 27 to May 1, 1998
Amanda and Cameron kissed. Cindy spied on Grant and Lila. Carl worried Rachel was suffering from hallucinations. Dr. Brogan was killed, and Carl was the last one to see him alive. Marley invited Jake to go away with her.

MAY 1998
May 4 to 8, 1998
Gary became suspicious of Josie. Donna found the journals Lila had forged to make it look like Shane and Vicky had carried on an affair. Marley and Donna were determined to keep Jake away from Vicky. Sophia and Matt had to share a hotel room in New York.
May 11 to 15, 1998
Donna ran down Grant and Marley with her car, thinking Marley was Vicky. Someone left Felicia dead roses. Nick wondered if Sophia was still in love with Matt. A sniper aimed for Rachel, but Carl jumped in front of the bullet.
May 18 to 22, 1998
A fire in the hospital left Marley badly burned. Carl was presumed dead and sneaked out of town. Cameron was set up to take the fall for shooting Carl. Grant discovered Cindy had lied about him not being Kirkland's father. Jake and Vicky reconciled.
May 25 to 29, 1998
Marley and Donna told Jake that Vicky had had an affair with Shane. Cass and Matt tried to get to the bottom of the missing funds at Cory Publishing. Marley prepared for plastic surgery. Jake told Vicky their relationship was over.

June 1 to 5, 1998
Grant vowed to make Donna pay for the accident. Josie's undercover FBI work caused a strain on her marriage. Scott put Carl's plans to take over Cory Publishing into action. Cindy told Donna that Lila had forged Shane's journal.
June 8 to 12, 1998
Matt and Sophia made love for the first time. Sophia was distraught after finding out Matt was the father of Lila's baby. Grant blackmailed Donna to keep her from revealing that Vicky and Shane had never had an affair.
June 15 to 19, 1998
Sophia found Matt beaten up. Grant told everyone Cindy was responsible for the hit-and-run despite knowing it was Donna. Grant drugged Cindy to give her amnesia. Marley grew increasingly reliant on Jake then saw him kissing Vicky.
June 22 to 26, 1998
Rachel left town. Cameron feared Matt's beating wasn't a coincidence. Sofia didn't think she and Matt could make things work. Toni and Chris made love for the first time. Vicky trapped Lila, Grant, and Donna on a boat and demanded answers.
June 29 to July 3, 1998
Another World did not air this week due to Wimbledon coverage.

Gary tried to help Cindy get her memory back. Marley had trouble accepting Jake and Vicky's reunion. Cameron was concerned for Amanda's safety with Scott. Matt was willing to do anything to keep Lila in town -- except marry her.
July 13 to 17, 1998
Lila collapsed. Sophia was upset to find Matt and Lila together again. Marley and Cindy formed an alliance. Cameron failed to get Amanda away from Scott.
July 20 to 24, 1998
Nick and Paulina tried to help Remy. Sophia wanted for her and Matt to adopt Matt and Lila's baby. Joe took Cameron in for questioning. Cameron insisted Scott was the real shooter. Lila found Cass unconscious.
July 27 to 31, 1998
Marley vandalized Vicky and Jake's tree and blamed Cindy. Sophia broke things off with Matt when Matt agreed to marry Lila. Rachel returned to town. Josie learned Cameron was Gary's brother.

August 3 to 7, 1998
Marley and Cindy almost ran Vicky down. Cindy began to regain her memory but lied to Grant about it. Gary refused to work on the case against his brother. Cameron admitted to Amanda that he had killed his father. Cass stopped Matt and Lila's wedding.
August 10 to 14, 1998
Amanda convinced Scott to take her instead of kidnapping Rachel's twins. Matt and Sophia declared their love but agreed to take some time to sort things out. Marley worked to convince Vicky that Donna was unstable. Scott threatened to harm Alli if Amanda didn't help him.
August 17 to 21, 1998
Cindy tried to get access to a phone. A mystery man took an interest in Lila and also spied on Sophia and Matt. Nick found the information Remy was gathering on him. Rachel was upset to learn a stranger had picked Alli up from school. Gary and Cameron tried to rescue Amanda.
August 24 to 28, 1998
Amanda and Cameron struggled to escape Scott. Gary, Amanda, Joe, Josie, and Cameron were all in danger when Scott set off a bomb. Matt asked Lila to move into the Cory mansion. Cass showed Lila proof that the Cory family was broke. Gary and Amanda were presumed dead in the explosion.
August 31 to September 4, 1998
Remy refused to tell Nick about her past. Cindy retrieved the incriminating cassette she had against Grant. In the midst of grief over Gary and Amanda, Josie and Cameron made love. Josie and Cameron found Amanda and Gary alive. Cass denied his feelings for Lila.

Cass and Lila kissed. Amanda couldn't forgive Cameron for sleeping with Josie. Josie couldn't admit her indiscretion with Cameron to Gary. Vicky was upset to find she wasn't really pregnant. Jake met with Marley to discuss Marley's love letter to him.
September 14 to 18, 1998
Rachel agreed to let Lila sell Mac's art collection. Vicky wanted to know what secret Jake and Marley were keeping. Amanda agreed to work with Cameron to get the Cory money back. Felicia warned Lila not to break Cass's heart.
September 21 to 25, 1998
Bruno helped Cindy keep her memory recovery a secret. Marley attacked Vicky. Chris and Toni agreed to take some time apart. Josie worried she might be pregnant with Cameron's baby. Vicky found Marley's letter to Jake. Marley told Vicky that Donna had run Marley down while trying to kill Vicky.
September 28 to October 2, 1998
Joe told Paulina that Remy was a con artist. Kirkland lost the stuffed animal Cindy had hidden her evidence against Grant in. Donna begged for Vicky's forgiveness. Donna was in critical condition after a fight with Marley. Josie considered abortion. Lila had a problem with her pregnancy.

Donna was partially paralyzed and couldn't speak. Marley took a frightened Donna home with her. Paulina convinced Remy not to leave town. Josie told Cameron she was going to have an abortion but then reconsidered. Cass and Matt argued over Lila.
October 12 to 16, 1998
Lila agreed to marry Cass. Josie decided to pass the baby she was carrying off as Gary's. A mystery man invited Rachel to the costume ball. Zak was working with the mystery man, and they had been hypnotizing people. Donna tried desperately to escape Marley.
October 19 to 23, 1998
Donna went missing. The mystery man arranged for Lila to go to the ball. Toni told Chris she wanted to start over with him. Matt and Lila were trapped in an elevator when Lila went into labor. The mystery man stole Lila's baby. Grant realized Cindy had evidence against him.
October 26 to 30, 1998
The tape with evidence against Grant went missing. Everyone searched for Lila and Matt's baby. Matt asked Lila to marry him. Josie panicked when she realized Gary might not be able to father children. A baby was found, but it wasn't Lila's.

November 2 to 6, 1998
Chris almost revealed to Toni that he was the Love Lady. Josie and Cameron stole the test results that showed Gary was infertile. Cass and Felicia began to wonder why they had lost time. Lila and Zak found Lila's baby. Joe asked Paulina about her locket.
November 9 to 13, 1998
Zak conspired to keep Sophia away from Matt. Sophia was devastated when Matt and Lila married. Donna tried to warn Vicky that Marley was dangerous. Cass and Jake found something shocking about Jordan Stark. A shaken Josie asked Amanda to take her to the hospital.
November 16 to 20, 1998
Donna was cured after a trip to Lumina but believed all of Marley's lies. Amanda asked Cameron if he was the father of Josie's baby. Paulina decided to search for her daughter. Tito, a man from Remy's past, showed up. Cindy shot Grant, and Marley helped Cindy frame Vicky.
November 23 to 27, 1998
Marley held Vicky captive. Josie worried a problem in her pregnancy would reveal her baby's true paternity. Zak was upset about how much he and Stark had hurt Sophia with the things Matt had done under hypnotic suggestion. Jake couldn't believe Vicky was guilty of shooting Grant.
November 30 to December 4, 1998
Cindy kept Vicky from escaping. Marley insinuated herself into Jake's life. Paulina, hoping to find her daughter, just missed Remy. Matt couldn't forget Sophia. Marley bribed Grant to keep him from exonerating Vicky. Amanda, Cameron, Josie, and Gary tried to get to the bottom of the illegal adoptions.

Lila told Stark she was done spying on the Cory family. Jake began to suspect Marley had Vicky. Matt was shaken by a fax from Sophia. Cass kissed Lila. Tito hid the message about meeting Remy's birth mother from Remy.
December 14 to 18, 1998
Cass warned Rachel that Lumina was up to something, and it could be the ruin of Rachel's family. Tito stole Remy's locket and pretended he might be Paulina's child. Marley stashed Vicky in the old Love house. Rachel began to wonder if Lumina was controlling Matt and Lila.
December 21 to 25, 1998
Cameron and Amanda made up. Marley realized Jake and Tyrone were working together. Marley had Jake arrested to keep him off her trail. Cass told Lila that she and her baby could have everything she wanted with him. Joe invited Remy to celebrate Christmas with him and Paulina.
December 28, 1998 to January 1, 1999
Stark broke into the Cory mansion to get the family Bible. Jordan became convinced Amanda was the woman he was looking for. Cindy gave Marley antibiotics for Vicky but warned that Vicky needed a hospital. Donna told Marley she remembered everything and demanded to know where Vicky was.
