The fast-rising Canadian actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) took a role that might seemingly be over before it even begins. For the CW's new pilot about the Green Arrow, Wood accepted the guest-starring role of Sarah Lance -- a character that died at sea in a plot that provides back-story for the upcoming Arrow series.
Wood alerted fans via Twitter that she was jetting off to Vancouver to work on Arrow, which is based on DC Comics' character the Green Arrow. In the pilot, Wood plays Dinah Laurel Lance's deceased sister who perished in a boating incident that left the main character, Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, shipwrecked on an island for years.
After the announcement of the guest-starring role on Arrow, fans expressed concern about Wood's future with The Bold and the Beautiful.
"For everyone who has been asking if I am leaving B&B, don't worry I am not," Wood told fans on Twitter.
A B&B source told Highlight Hollywood that "the soap will work with her, because Steffy and Jacqueline are such an integral part of the soap, and Wood was gracious enough to confirm it as well."
Wood became known in Hollywood for her roles in Nightmare at the End of the Hall and Final Destination 5. Dubbing herself DJ Jacqui Mac, Wood also released a song in January 2012, entitled "After Hours."
Wood made her daytime debut on B&B as Steffy Forrester in 2008 and was on hand for B&B's 25th anniversary; the show debuted in 1987, the same year Wood was born.
