One of the biggest frustrations soap opera fans express is that once an episode airs, it's typically gone forever. Unless, of course, you save episodes on your DVR or have a stack of old VHS tapes stashed away in your attic or basement. Since soap operas air every weekday, there is rarely any opportunity to air repeat episodes. And ever since SOAPnet went off the air, there isn't really a home for classic soap opera viewing.
The Bold and the Beautiful is taking the first step toward changing that. Past episodes of the CBS soap are now available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime. Before you get too excited, the episodes don't go back to the first episode. However, you can turn the clock back three years to the show's 7000th episode, which aired on January 23, 2015, through episode 7100, which aired on June 16, 2015.
It isn't clear if the show will be adding additional episodes to the Amazon Prime offering, but presumably if the interest in the first batch of 100 episodes is great enough, more episodes could be added.
All 100 of these episodes are available for free viewing to all Amazon Prime subscribers. You can jump right into the episode list here (the link will open in a new window).
If you aren't a member of Amazon Prime, you can try it now for just $3 for 30 days and take advantage of free two-day delivery, free streaming movies and television, and much more.
General Hospital also recently released a handful of throwback episodes. The ABC soap released 15 episodes chronicling the love story of Jason and Sam. For more on those episodes, click here.
