Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are on pins and needles about what's ahead for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), whose marriage has been rocked by the recent returns of their exes Taylor (Krista Allen) and Deacon (Sean Kanan) respectively.
First there was that little New Year's Eve kiss between Brooke and Deacon, which Ridge has decided to forgive, as long as Brooke keeps Deacon far, far away from their house. But now, Ridge seems to be spending an awful lot of time with Taylor in the aftermath of Steffy's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) shooting. Does this twist spell even more trouble for his marriage to Brooke?
"They say the heart wants what the heart wants, but sometimes you just don't know what the heart wants," Kaye shares in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest. "Sheila [Kimberlin Brown] actually brought Ridge and Taylor closer, but now that she is seemingly out of the picture, it's time for him to re-examine his life, and he still loves Brooke."
Of course, as Ridge figures out which road he'd like to travel, he'll have to deal with a lot of unwanted opinions -- including an unlikely one from Dollar Bill Spencer!
"That is the last person Ridge wants to hear from, but he weighs in," Kaye shares. "These are two men who don't like each other. Basically, he comes in and says, 'Don't screw this up. Talk it out and don't lose this woman [Brooke],' and Ridge accepts that."
He continues, "Right now, Ridge just wants to help Steffy [Jacqueline MacInnes Wood] heal after the loss of Finn [Tanner Novlan], and he wants to do what he believes is best for his family," Kaye previews. "He really wants to make his marriage work. Obviously, he will always have feelings for Taylor, but he is invested in his marriage."
