It's been almost a dozen years since Stephanie Forrester died in Brooke Logan's arms on The Bold and the Beautiful, putting an end to the iconic rivalry that dominated the show for more than two decades. Off-screen, Susan Flannery and Katherine Kelly Lang have remained close friends, as Lang demonstrated with her latest social media post.
Lang took to Instagram to share a snap of a visit with her longtime friend and colleague, including it in a little video slide show of some of Brooke and Stephanie's most memorable moments -- the good, the bad, and the downright mean.
"Then and now," Lang wrote. "Looking back at memorable moments between "Brooke and Stephanie" on @boldandbeautifulcbs...So happy to spend the afternoon today with Susan (my dear friend, mentor, and 'mother-in-law' ). The last two pictures were taken today when @dom472522 and I went to visit."
Stephanie's hatred for Brooke, the woman she dubbed "The Slut from the Valley," was legendary. After all, the younger woman stole Stephanie's husband, married and cheated on both of her sons, and made Stephanie's overall life a living hell for years, so Stephanie made sure to do the same thing to her.
However, there was always a deep unspoken respect between them that shined through when Stephanie died from cancer and Brooke was the one there for her, singing as she quietly passed away. Flannery chose retirement but clearly still loves seeing old friends.
In 2024, Brooke no longer has a negative word to say about Stephanie and even read from her Bible in a quest to keep Eric alive during his mystery illness storyline late last year. During that story, Eric went into the light, and Stephanie was the one to bring him there before he realized he had more time left with his loved ones on earth.
