A war of words, of sorts, has broken out between two Days of our Lives stars.

During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on March 6, Lisa Rinna (Billie Reed) took part in the talk show's "Plead The Fifth" game, where guests are put on the spot and asked to answer three potentially controversial questions. Rinna was asked who she thought was the worst actor in the history of Days of our Lives.

Rinna pondered the question for a bit before asking host Andy Cohen for help. For his part, Cohen replied, "Stefano DiMera." Rinna subtly nodded her head, which seemed to have caught Cohen by surprise. "Yeah, I'm gonna go there," Rinna added.

The next day, Rinna took to Twitter to apologize to actor Joseph Mascolo (Stefano DiMera)

"I must apologize for my Joe Mascolo comments on [Watch What Happens Live]. He is a great actor and I should never had said him when answering," Rinna posted. "I was stupid."

Soap Opera Digest reached out to Mascolo to get his take on the incident

"Lisa saying that Taylor [Armstrong] should have her lips reduced and calling me the worst actor on DAYS is sort of like the pot calling the kettles black," Mascolo responded. "Watch out, Lisa. Stefano always gets revenge!"

NBC has declined to comment on the Rinna-Mascolo dustup. NBC and Bravo are both owned by Comcast Corp.'s NBCUniversal.
