After months of rumors, it's now official: Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) is returning to Days of our Lives. There is a bit of "bad" news involved in the actress' return -- fans have a long wait ahead of them before they'll see Bjorlin on-screen.
Rumors of Bjorlin's possible return first surfaced in early 2012. By April, Bjorlin spoke out on the rumors, telling Soap Opera Uncensored that no one from the show had reached out to her about a return.
"I am not returning to DAYS," Bjorlin marveled. "Not sure where these rumors start."
In an interview with TVGuide, Bjorlin mused, "I find out a lot about myself through reading magazines. Most of the time I'm, like, 'Uh...really?' There was a little bit of talk throughout the year. 'Would you ever be interested in returning? That sort of thing. But never anything concrete. I never put much thought into it so nothing was ever 'imminent' and there was certainly no 'stalemate.' Now the timing is right. It's been a year since we've seen Chloe. Hopefully, the audience has forgotten what she was up to."
"Up to," of course, refers to Chloe's extracurricular activities as a call girl.
Chloe's return, according to a DAYS rep, will be "heavily centered" around her son, Parker.
Bjorlin first appeared on DAYS in April 1999. She exited on September 28, 2011, when the show underwent a "reboot." According to TVGuide, Bjorlin reports to work in late September. Her first appearance will not air until January 4, 2013.
