Hot on the heels of the news that All My Children alum Josh Duhamel (ex- Leo du Pres) and pop star Fergie are ending their eight-year marriage comes news that soap stud Robb Derringer (Scooter, Days of our Lives; ex-Kyle Sloan, General Hospital) and Dancing With the Stars' Carrie Ann Inaba have called off their engagement.
The pair split up a month ago, right in the midst of planning a Hawaii wedding, Us Weekly reports.
Inaba's latest Instagram post sheds some light into how she feels about the upsetting situation. "Life is a balance of holding on and letting go," she posted via a photo.
Derringer also shared how he is feeling via a quote by Rainer Maria Rilke. "To love is good, too: love being difficult. For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation."
Derringer and Inaba got engaged in December 2016 after only a couple of months of dating. Interestingly enough, Inaba opened up about the pair's relationship just a few weeks ago and didn't hint that she and her fiancé were headed toward troubled waters.
"Robb is such a supportive partner. I'm very grateful and I'm very lucky," she told Us Weekly last month. "When you finally meet the one you're going to spend the rest of your life with it changes your perspective a lot, and suddenly it's no longer about what's right or wrong, it's about being compassionate, and patient, and supportive. What I love is that love stretches you and grows you and that can be uncomfortable, but that's the best part of it. Whatever makes you feel uncomfortable is usually totally worth going through, and once you get to the other side, it's going to be beautiful. And that's one thing that is proven over and over again with Robb is we grow each other, stretch each other, don't be afraid to be uncomfortable."
