Days of our Lives star Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) kept himself busier than elves last holiday season, filming a noir thriller during the NBC soap's Christmas break, and the fruits of his labor are about to pay off.
The first teaser trailer for the film, called Dead On Arrival (previously D.O.A. Blood River), has just been released, and Flynn is featured quite heavily in the tense action.
Written and helmed by Stephen C. Sepher and inspired by Rudolph Mate's 1950s noir thriller, D.O.A., the movie follows Flynn as a pharmaceutical sales rep who visits a small town in Louisiana on business. He finds himself in a dark world of corruption and murder with 24 hours to live, running from the police, the mob, and a sheriff that wants him dead.
Dead On Arrival also stars Scottie Thompson, Christa B. Allen, D.B. Sweeney, Lillo Brancato, Chris Mulkey, Billy Slaughter, Laura Flannery, and Matthew Pohlkamp.
A theatrical release date has yet to be announced, but the film has already been making festival rounds and will be screened during the Apra Film Festival In Hollywood, California, on Saturday, November 4.
