He has broken hearts as his adventurous Days of our Lives character, Shane Donovan, and his suave The Nanny character, Maxwell Sheffield, and now Charles Shaughnessy is set to break hearts in his most real-life role yet: the actor is set to take on Britain's Prince Charles in Lifetime's upcoming film, Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal.
The film is a sequel to the feel-good channel's previously released film about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. This latest film will follow the real-life couple, portrayed by a new set of actors (Charlie Field and Tiffany Marie Smith), as they prepare for their wedding day and navigate their first year of marriage.
According to the official synopsis, the couple's "core values are put to the test as they try to find the balance between honoring Royal tradition and staying true to their beliefs."
Additional cast members include Jordan Whalen as Prince William, Laura Mitchell as Kate Middleton, Maggie Sullivun as Queen Elizabeth II, Timothy Temple as Prince Philip, Deborah Ramsay as Camilla Bowles, Natalie Moon as Layla, James Dreyfus as Leonard, and Bonnie Soper as Diana.
The cast of Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal is currently filming in Vancouver, with the movie set to make a Memorial Day premiere on Monday, May 27, at 8:00PM EST on Lifetime.
