As General Hospital reverts its storytelling focus to the show's core families, the show will soon be saying goodbye to one of its newer hires. Erin Chambers (Siobhan McKenna) will exit GH next week in a highly dramatic fashion.

While Chambers' alter ego will be written out of the show, the character's exit will create many unanswered questions. The role will not be recast.

Chambers began her General Hospital run in September 2010. Siobhan was originally devised as a recurring character, but in January 2011, Chambers was placed on contract with GH.

Prior to hitting daytime, Chambers made numerous guest spots in primetime. She also portrayed Priscilla Presley in the 2007 Elvis Presley biopic, Tears of a King.
