A new General Hospital casting call has raised the possibility that the writers are hoping to expand Shawn's family.
The casting call looks to cast the role of T.J., a 14-year-old African-American male. T.J. is described as "urban, rebellious, an appealing kid who masks it with a huge chip on his shoulder."
The role will be recurring for now, but he character will see a lot of screen time. There has been online speculation that T.J. might be the son of Shawn Butler, played by actor Sean Blakemore.
Blakemore first appeared on General Hospital on January 21, 2011. He was upped to contract status in April.
There's no word yet on when T.J. might make his first appearance, but it is not expected to be before December.
