Good news for fans of General Hospital's Hayden Barnes: It seems the character and her portrayer, Rebecca (ex-Greenlee Smythe, All My Children), will be making Port Charles their home for several years to come.
News that the Kentucky native was heading back to the ABC soap -- on contract -- hit in July, but now Soaps In Depth is reporting that the length of said contract is four years.
The scheming vixen plays slipped into a coma during GH's live episodes in May, and now she's back on the canvas and recovering from her near-fatal gunshot wound. Something tells us that the temporary setback won't tame Hayden in any way, shape, or form. In fact, we're guessing Port Charles is in for a load of trouble now that the conniver is planning to stay in town long term... And so is Nicholas (Tyler Christopher), once Hayden finds out the truth about how she landed in the hospital in the first place!
"I'm so excited to be @GeneralHospital," the actress posted on Twitter shortly after the news of her return to the soap broke. "Thank you for all of your support!"
