Emmy-nominated actor Tequan Richmond (T.J. Ashford, General Hospital) may be on his way out of Port Charles and into a plum primetime show if the cards fall just right.
Deadline reports that the actor has joined Aisha Hinds (Under the Dome), Alex Henderson (Empire), Sierra McClain (House of Payne), Olivia Dawson (Empire), and Jason Weaver (The Ladykillers) in an untitled hour-long drama pilot for Showtime.
The "relevant, timely and distinctive coming-of-age story" of an African-American male will shoot in Chicago later this year. Richmond will be playing Emmett, an attractive young teen who believes his sexual prowess is what defines him -- so much so, he's fathered three children with three different partners. His attitude about what it means to be a man will change, however, when he's finally faced with actually having to raise one of his offspring.
