Big news for former soap opera star Robb Derringer (ex-Kyle Sloane, General Hospital; ex-Scooter Nelson, Days of our Lives): The daytime alum has landed a recurring role on the new ABC drama Stumptown.
Based on a graphic novel, the series follows How I Met Your Mother actress Cobie Smulders as an army veteran with gambling debts and a brother to take care of, who becomes a private investigator in Portland, Oregon. Derringer's character's name is Randall Tapper, but that's all that is known about his role at this time.
Derringer has a long history of starring in daytime soaps, starting with a role as the D.A. on All My Children back in 2010. He followed that up with a short stint as The Young and the Restless' Wayne in 2013 before joining GH as special agent Kyle Sloane in 2014. His last daytime role was that of DAYS' Scooter, which he played in 2017. Derringer's most recent credits include guest-starring on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as appearing on AJ and the Queen and Queen America.
Stumptown is set to debut on ABC on Wednesday, September 25. Check out an extended teaser trailer for the series below and let us know what you think about Derringer's new project in the Comments section at the end of the article.
