Ned Quartermaine is getting his daughter back on General Hospital, but it won't be the same Brook Lynn Ashton fans are used to. The ABC soap opera has cast former One Life to Live star Amanda Setton (ex-Kimberly Andrews) in the role.
TV Line reports that Setton will step into the role of Ned's daughter on Monday, November 18, with a photo that shows Ned (Wally Kurth) and his wife Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) welcoming Brook Lynn back to Port Charles.
Setton got her start in daytime as the scheming Kimberly Andrews on One Life to Live, a role she played from 2009 to 2011. The actress also appeared in the primetime series Gossip Girl, The Mindy Project, and Hawaii Five-0.
Brook Lynn made her debut as the daughter of Ned Ashton and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) back in 1999, with actress Brooke Radding in the role. Adrianne Leon stepped into the shoes of the character in 2004 and earned a Daytime Emmy nod for her performance. She left GH in 2011, when Brook Lynn left town to go on tour with a band.
Editor's Note: The first airdate is subject to change due to potential preemptions for impeachment hearings.
