Ready for some super sweet news about former General Hospital star Teresa Castillo (ex-Sabrina Santiago)? You're in luck because the actress is thrilled to announce that she has landed the role of Gina in the Hulu animated series Madagascar: A Little Wild.
Castillo took to Instagram with the heads-up about her new gig, sharing, "SO MUCH FUN playing this character. Thank you @dreamworks ! Grab your littles and enjoy this adorable show!"
Madagascar: A Little Wild follows the early years of the Madagascar heroes Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, and Gloria the Hippo, as they grow up in a rescue habitat at the Central Park Zoo. Other voice actors of the computer-animated project include Shaylin Becton, Tucker Chandler, Luke Lowe, Amir O'Neil, Charlie Adler, Jasmine Gatewood, and Candace Kozak.
Castillo joined the cast of GH in 2012 and became a much-loved actress on the ABC soap opera. Sadly, Sabrina was killed off in 2016, bringing her four-year run on the show to an end. Fans were devastated, and the goodbye was tough for Castillo, as well.
"Four years ago, this girl walked into the halls of General Hospital, and her life was forever changed," she shared at the time of her goodbye. "Thanks to the amazing cast and crew for a fantastic run. And a special thanks to all you incredible die-hard soap fans for showering me with your love. You guys are the best!"
