Just hours after Prospect Park confirmed its plans to revive One Life to Live, the company continued reaching out to on-screen talent about returning to Llanview. One of those contacted, Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan) was more than happy to agree to reprise his daytime role.
"About an hour ago I agreed to be part of the OLTL revival and I'm thrilled to be involved in entertainment history as the show we love moves to other formats," verDorn revealed. "The fans consistent drum beat of support played a large part in Prospect Park never giving up trying to find a solution. And today they announced it to the world. With the cherry-on-the-top-news that Agnes Nixon has been hired as a consultant!"
verDorn praised fans' persistence but also understood why some doubted that One Life to Live would ever return.
"For those who doubted, I don't blame you as this has never been done before," verDorn explained. "For those who never lost hope and never stopped writing and calling, well, good things come to those who wait. Congratulations to you all. Welcome back to Llanview."
Jerry verDorn assumed the role of Clint Buchanan in 2005 and remained with the show through its broadcast television finale in January 2012. Prior to joining OLTL, verDorn spent 26 years as Ross Marler on Guiding Light.
