Her mother is the most recognizable face in daytime television, but Liza Huber (Gwen) has decided that she doesn't necessarily want to follow in her famous mother's footsteps.
Huber, daughter of All My Children's Susan Lucci (Erica Kane), will depart Passions later next month and the role she created when the show premiered back in July 1999. Perhaps more importantly, however, is that Huber will completely leave the acting biz.
"I just want to make a career change," said Huber in an interview. "Now that I'm [in the acting business], I realize that it isn't what I want."
According to the actress, Lucci and dad Helmut Huber were supportive of her decision, one that Huber admits did not come easily.
Huber doesn't have a new career lined up --- but that doesn't bother the actress. She states that she wants some time to relax, regroup and enjoy her move back to the New York area.
Huber's final airdate is scheduled for November 8th. Natalie Zea, a newcomer to daytime
television, will take over the role the following week on November 15th.
