The quirky residents of Harmony will continue to heat things up on NBC for at least another season. NBC has announced that Passions will be picked up for another year.
Sheraton Kalouria, Senior Vice President of Daytime Programming, NBC Entertainment said of the announcement, "Critics and viewers alike acclaim 'Passions' for revolutionizing daytime television with the most romantic, innovative storytelling in the genre."
While Passions languishes in last place in the overall ratings, the show has routinely captured second place among the coveted "women 18-34" demographic. Additionally, Passions is the top soap among female teens between 12 and 17 years of age.
Passions was created by James E. Reilly, who also currently serves as head writer of NBC's Days of our Lives. It is produced by NBC Studios in association with Outpost Farms Productions, Inc.
