A native of New England, North was born in Connecticut and raised in Rhode Island. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a baseball scholarship and received a degree in journalism. North later went on to Boston, where he did graduate work in communications at Emerson College.
After nearly a year as a reporter in New Jersey, he moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor and stand-up comedian. With a natural flair for comic impressions, Nolan keeps his castmates laughing.
His efforts eventually led him to Hollywood and the wonderful town of Port Charles.
In his spare time, North is an avid golfer and fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and son.
