The Young and the Restless star Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) has accused her talent agency, Mavrick Artists Agency, of stealing money from her and for failing to meet the terms of their contract.
In the filing made Tuesday in California Superior Court, Khalil accuses Mavrick of only sending her out for two auditions during pilot season and for withholding a payment for a guest appearance she made on CBS's Two Broke Girls.
The complaint also alleges that while Khalil was still under contract to The Young and the Restless, Mavrick sent her on an audition for another role on The Young and the Restless, a soap she's called home for more than a decade. Khalil claims she was "collectively embarrassed, if not mortified."
Khalil's attorneys say that the agency is in breach of contract. However, Mavrick has reportedly refused to terminate their contract with Khalil, which prompted the lawsuit.
News of the lawsuit was first reported by The Wrap. The report did not specify what sort of damages Khalil is seeking.
Mavrick Artists Agency did not immediately return requests for comment.
