Calling all brainiacs: The Young and the Restless is reportedly searching for a nerdy gal to play the part of a new socially awkward character.
The CBS soap sent out a casting call for the recurring role, described as a 20-something native of Sweden, Denmark, or Switzerland. Named Ilsa, the nerdy yet pretty girl was raised in the United States, is a genius child prodigy obsessed with cyber work/life, and is a bit on the awkward side. However, Y&R audiences will see the quirky young girl blossom into someone spectacular.
At this time, there's no word on how Ilsa will fit into the canvas, but the role should begin filming later this fall.
