Amid a wave of casting cuts, Genoa City is about to see a new hunk arrive in town, because The Young and the Restless is bringing actor Michael Roark to the canvas in a brand new role.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the Illinois native has been cast in the recurring role of "Travis," a mysterious stranger who sets his eye on someone in Genoa City.
The casting call for Travis described the character as "a 30-something hunky, working male [who] likes women but avoids attachments, conflicts, drama, and emotion."
Watch for the debut of Roark, who's also appeared in shows like Beauty and the Beast, Finding Carter, Sleepy Hollow, and The Vampire Diaries, to debut on April 29.
Roark's addition comes as three other Y&R stars have been cut. Last week, Sofia Pernas (Marisa Sierras) was dropped to recurring -- and subsequently booked a pilot -- and Lachlan Buchanan (Kyle Abbott) revealed on Twitter that he was exiting the show. Earlier today, it was reported that Robert Adamson (Noah Newman) was dropped to recurring due to a lack of story.
