Fans of Michael Muhney may not be able to root for the actor on television every day now that he's no longer playing The Young and the Restless' Adam Newman, but that doesn't mean there's not a way to show support.
As he's done in years past, Muhney is participating in the LA Cancer Challenge in memory of his late uncle, who passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. And he's hoping fans will help him raise $2500 for groundbreaking research on the deadly disease.
"Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today," he writes on support.pancreatic.org. "Or if you'd like, you can join me for a day of costumes and fun, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Together we can make a huge difference in the battle against pancreatic cancer."
The LA Cancer Challenge helps the Hirshberg Foundation raise money to fund research and programs designed to improve patient care, offer better treatment options and, ultimately, find a cure for pancreatic cancer. This year's 5K/10K walk/run will be held on Sunday, October 30.
