Fans of The Young and the Restless' Tristan Lake Leabu (Reed Hellstrom) may still be smarting by the young actor's sooner-than-expected departure from the show, but there is some good news. The Emmy-nominated actor has joined the cast of Michael Duggan and Dan McDermott's teen movie currently titled The F*ck It List.
Deadline reports that Leabu has landed a supporting role in the comedy that follows Brett Blackmore (Eli Brown), an exemplary high school senior who is on a path for a future he's not even sure he wants. When Brett's senior prank goes horribly wrong, seven Ivy League colleges pull their acceptances, and hiqs future crumbles. In frustration, and with nothing left to lose, he launches the F*ck-It List -- all the things he wishes he'd done in high school but was too busy or afraid to try. The list goes viral, making him famous overnight and a beacon of hope for his peers. This newfound fame and influence prompts Brett to break free and make a run for a future of his own design.
Other stars who've signed on to the film include Peter Facinelli, Madison Iseman, Jerry O'Connell, Camryn Manheim, Marcus Scribner, Karan Brar, Andrew "King Bach" Bachelor, Passions' vet Natalie Zea, and Guiding Light alum Laura Bell Bundy (ex-Marah Lewis).
Leabu joined Y&R as J.T. and Victoria's son, Reed, in 2017. He made his acting debut in the epic film Superman Returns and has also appeared in Hawaii Five-0, The Christmas Spirit, and Least Among Saints. In addition to acting, Tristan is an accomplished musician who sings and plays the guitar.
The F*ck It List, from Awesomeness Films, has just started production.
