As if excitement over ABC's upcoming series Grand Hotel wasn't high enough, now comes word that Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Braņa, The Young and the Restless) will be guest starring on the primetime soap.
Longoria is already on board the series as both an executive producer and a director, but EW reports that the former Desperate Housewives star will also act in the upcoming show.
Based on the Spanish series Gran Hotel, the soap tells the story of a family-owned hotel in Miami, the people who run it, and all of the secrets they keep from one another. Longoria will guest star as Beatriz, the former owner of the hotel and the first wife of Santiago (Demian Bichir). Beatriz is described as a shrewd businesswoman, a devoted mother, and a loyal friend. But secrets from her past continue to haunt her family.
As Soap Central previously reported, two other daytime alums star in Grand Hotel: General Hospital alum Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos) portrays Javi, a "no-filter playboy who loved to disobey his father," while All My Children alum Denise Tontz (ex-Miranda Montgomery) stars on the series as Javi's sister Paloma, a "headstrong young woman determined to do what's right for the family business."
Grand Hotel is set to premiere on ABC as a mid-season pickup in early 2019. For more information, including a teaser trailer for the series and some behind-the scenes photos shared by Craig, click here.
