The course of a true soap opera wedding never did run smooth, and it looks like The Young and the Restless' Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) are about to get a taste of some seriously soapy drama.
The pair's beautiful wedding is taking place right now on the CBS soap opera, but the celebration of love has all the ingredients that could make a major disaster. First of all, there's that pesky little problem named Summer (Hunter King), the girl who still has the hots for the groom she very, very recently called her own. And then there's a huge secret that Theo (Tyler Johnson) has hanging over Kyle's head: he partied with an underage girl in the Big Apple, and she nearly died from alcohol poisoning. Either problem could spell catastrophe for Kyle's marriage to Lola, and both definitely have Kyle squirming.
"[The drama with Zoe (Anna Grace Barlow)] is something Kyle wants to keep under wraps. It doesn't paint him in the best light. Kyle thinks Lola would never look at him in the same way [if she finds out]," Michael Mealor tells TV Insider of just how serious Kyle's secret is. "Theo just loves hanging it over Kyle's head. He loves to watch him squirm. Theo's a bit of a survivor. Now, he has the power. He's the one in control. He's never been that [before] with Kyle. He enjoys having him in the palm of his hand. Theo doesn't come from a family like the Abbotts. He does what it takes to allow himself to keep going and be successful."
Even if Lola finds out about Zoe and forgives her husband-to-be, the couple wouldn't get off scot-free and be able to sail off into the sunset. After all, they can never truly escape the heat of Summer, who gave Lola part of her liver so that she could live.

"Summer will always be a thorn in the relationship's side. No matter how much Lola tries to calm herself or ease her mind or thoughts I think that will always be right there on the surface," Mealor surmises, adding that it looks more and more as if Kyle and Lola are most certainly doomed. "What would happen if this secret gets out is up to the writers, but I think that most likely it would cause turmoil [in the marriage]. It's Summer and a secret that's standing in the way of Kyle and Lola's future happiness."
