Normal life continues to be put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, leaving millions of people worried, scared, mourning, and ordered to stay at home. Many people are feeling overwhelmed by the situation, so stars from The Young and the Restless have created an uplifting video to help the show's fans deal with this scary time.
Actors from the CBS drama series filmed themselves in their homes, and those clips were joined together to create a feel-good message that reassures viewers with the reminder that though these are challenging times, "we're all in this together."
The actors who participated include Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman), Donny Boaz (Chance Chancellor), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair), Hunter King (Summer Newman), Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott), Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson), Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott), Kate Linder (Esther Valentine), Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers), and Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin).
"If you're like me, you're probably at home, glued to your television," Bergman begins the video.
"Or you have one of these little things!" Morgan says while wrangling her child.
Says Thompson, "I understand it may not be easy. It's a very unpredictable time."
"You're probably feeling a little anxious," says Maitland.
"You are not alone," says Egan, Bregman, and Vilasuso with his family.
Adds Mealor, "That's the amazing thing about the world we live in, we're still connected."
"It's also very important to know that it's still okay to laugh!" Thompson says.
"And smile and share moments," adds Vilasuso.
"You can do all of those things, but also be kind, be smart, be considerate and passionate," says Thompson.
"We're here for you because we're in this together," Bergman reiterates.
"And together, we will conquer it," says Braeden.
