Jackie and Nick discuss his feelings regarding the paternity test. Nick then calls Dr. Paxson's office and finds out the results are in. Meanwhile, Massimo and Hudson share how difficult it has been for Massimo to have divided loyalties. Across town, Eric insists that Stephanie offer to make amends to Brooke. Over the phone, Dr. Paxson tells Brooke and Ridge that they should make plans to come down to the office for the results of the test. Ridge reaffirms his love for Brooke and they head out to see the doctor. Once at the office, Stephanie, Eric, Jackie and Nick unexpectedly show up to offer their support. Dr. Paxson informs Brooke that she is carrying a baby boy. Brooke reads the paternity test results as all anxiously await the news.
In the doctor's office, Brooke looked at the paternity test results and was shocked. Jackie looked at the results and informed Ridge, Nick, Eric and Stephanie that Nick is the father of Brooke's baby. Ridge was as shocked as Brooke was and quickly left the room.
Ozzie and Bridget discussed Deacon's marriage proposal. Bridget reaffirmed to Ozzie that she loves him, not Deacon. Bridget made it clear to Ozzie that she intends to help Deacon through his recovery and she intends to convince Eric to give Deacon his company back. Ozzie convinced Bridget to return Deacon's engagement ring to him.
At Forrester Creations, Megan told Sally that Eric and Stephanie had to leave the office unexpectedly. Sally assumed that the paternity test results are in. Megan advised Sally that she keeps out of other people's business. Sally admitted to Megan that she would be happy if Nick turns out to be the father of Brooke's baby.
At the hospital, Mark informed Deacon that he was able to take all of the bone fragments out of his spine. Mark did a quick test on Deacon. Deacon was able to feel Mark touch his foot. Mark informed Deacon, that although he has some feeling in his feet, he is not out of the woods. Later, Deacon credited Bridget for the possibility that he may walk again. Deacon talked about spending the rest of his life with Bridget.
At home, Ridge told Brooke how disappointed he is that he is not the father of her baby-his brother is. Ridge suggested to Brooke that there is only one thing that they can do!
In Eric's office, he and Megan discuss Ridge's problems. Megan asks where Ridge went after he walked out on Brooke at the doctor's office. Eric is unsure of that, but speculates that Ridge won't be able to survive what Brooke has done to him.
Brooke starts packing her things, ashamed of herself, wanting to spare Ridge anymore hurt. Ridge stops her and assures her that he is not ashamed of her and they can work through this together. Brooke tells him that she doesn't deserve a life with him, but Ridge tells her that he loves her and will love her child. He reminds her that none of this is her fault. Brooke is amazed that he can accept this and forgive her. Ridge sees this as a test of their commitment to each other. He says that there is no life for him without her, and their love will survive.
Amber is surprised to hear Ozzie say that he is engaged to Bridget. Amber reminds him of the history Bridget has with Deacon. She is sure that Bridget still has feelings for Deacon. Ozzie informs Amber that Bridget is with Deacon right now, telling him about the engagement and returning Deacon's ring.
At the hospital, Deacon wonders why Bridget isn't wearing the engagement ring he gave her. He assumes that Bridget is scared about what her father will say. Bridget tries to explain that Eric can't just forgive and forget everything that Deacon has done. She reminds him of her mother, who is raising Deacon's child. Bridget becomes angered that Deacon could think that Bridget could have feelings for him after all that he has done. She shows Deacon the ring that Ozzie gave her and explains to him that she will be marrying a man who loves her and will not hurt her. Deacon reaches for her hand and asks for a second chance.
Ridge and Brooke express their love and devotion for each other. Afterward, Nick visits Brooke who tells him that Ridge wants to raise the baby as his own. But Nick refuses to give up his child because he knows what it's like to grow up not knowing his father. Both Nick and Brooke are frustrated by the situation. Nick walks out. Meanwhile, Ridge informs Stephanie that he and Brooke will be raising her child together. He's confident that things will work out. Stephanie thinks this situation will tear Ridge apart and suggests that Samantha is the right woman for him. Despite Bridget's rejection, Deacon is convinced she still has feelings for him. Then Eric and Jonathan enter. Deacon signs a statement clearing Eric for the shooting in exchange for honoring the contract he signed making his company a subsidiary of Forrester.
Stephanie attacks Brooke regarding Ridge and the baby. Brooke believes that the baby will be fine since it will be raised by two parents who love him. Stephanie insists that Ridge will not be able to overcome the baby's paternity and declares that if Brooke loves him, she will let him go. She admits that she was in the same position when she suspected there was a chance that Ridge could have been Massimo's son and ignored it. She let her love for Eric get in the way and she doesn't want Brooke to end up alone and full of regrets. Brooke is shaken by Stephanie's emotional plea. Meanwhile, Ridge visits Nick asking to adopt the baby. Nick refuses to be cut out of his child's life. Ridge firmly states that nothing has changed between Brooke and him and storms off. Jackie breaks the news to Massimo that Nick is the father of Brooke's baby. Massimo is upset and predicts the results will be disastrous to his family.
