Amber continues to persuade Brooke and Stephanie regarding her relationship to Thomas. Amber makes a plea to Stephanie to give acceptance and understanding a chance. Thomas succeeds in getting Rick to see Amber in a new light.
Nick is still reeling after learning Jackie's affair with Deacon brought upon Massimo's stroke.
Deacon argues that Massimo only wanted the person Jackie was pretending to be when she was Mrs. Marone. After attacking Deacon, Nick vows that he never wants to see Deacon again. Nick then makes an emotional Jackie apologize to a sedated Massimo.
Nick accuses Jackie of running the Marone family into the ground. Deacon tries to defend Jackie but is only kicked out by Nick. Jackie confesses to Nick that she is just as responsible for the affair as Deacon is. Jackie breaks down in Nick's arms and is gravely remorseful for what she has done to Massimo and the family. Nick is unresponsive and cold.
Thomas and Rick are encouraged that Amber may be just the person to get through to Stephanie. Amber makes an argument to try to have the Forrester woman come together and bring peace to the family.
Stephanie responds that a romantic relationship is definitely out of the question. Amber comes to the realization that there is never going to be any real peace or understanding and leaves.
Brooke then accuses Stephanie of never wanting to change even for the betterment of the family.
Nick goes to Brooke to tell her that he found out Jackie was seeing Deacon. He wanted Brooke to tell him more about Deacon. Brooke thought it was possible that maybe Deacon wasn't using Jackie, but really did love her.
Deacon catches up with Jackie at a restaurant. He tries to convince her that she should divorce Massimo and be with Deacon instead. Jackie tries to resist, but Deacon keeps reminding her of the old times and keeps rubbing her arm and kissing her hand.
Thorne tries in vain to find a buyer for Spectra's new line, but has no luck. Darla tells him not to worry because he has a great line and he is a great business man.
Massimo's doctor comes by the house to run some tests. He calls Nick to come home right away. Massimo is showing cognitive brain activity when he blinks. Nick orders the best doctors to be consulted right away.
Everyone is gathered in the Forrester Showroom to welcome Thorne and Darla. Eric announces that Forrester Creations never gave Thorne the proper going away party. Eric and Stephanie then present Thorne with a beautiful crystal plaque that bears the Forrester logo. Thorne is extremely grateful and makes a touching toast.
Caitlin is upset after learning Rick will be working at Forrester International in Milan.
Nick secretly has Massimo moved to a neurology clinic without telling Jackie. Nick then breaks the news to Sally that Jackie M cannot sell Spectra dress because of a contract with Forrester Creations.
Brooke visits Jackie and tells her about Nick's concerns. Jackie ultimately admits to Brooke that she cares deeply for Deacon.
Thorne reassures the Spectra gang by telling them that he is confident that Eric won't let Ridge go through with his demand.
Brooke informs Nick that Deacon truly does have strong feelings for Jackie. Brooke calls Ridge and tries to persuade him to let Jackie M sell Spectra dresses.
Brooke then visits the Spectra gang to argue Ridge's point of view. Thorne responds that he isn't going to let Ridge get away with it.
A specialist from China is brought in to help implement new treatments to Massimo. Deacon tries to console a guilty stricken Jackie by telling her that they are now free to start a new life.
