Without head writer Hogan Sheffer and co-head writer Carolyn Culliton beside her at the microphone, co-head writer Jean Passanante fielded questions about why As The World Turns has enjoyed so much Emmy success in recent years.
"We basically do what [Hogan] says to do," Passanante teased before answering the question seriously. "This is a team of writers that believes deeply in the show and is committed to its history -- a high quality show without a lot of tricks and gimmickry."
"Did you feel a lot of pressure to live up to the hype of winning 8 awards last year?" asked a reporter.
"It wasn't hype!" retorted one of the show's scribes.
The team hit the backstage as Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott, The Young and the Restless) was named Outstanding Lead Actor and cheered.
"We have an incredible crew, cast, a bunch of people who are very creative and enjoy working together," explained the show's new producer, Katherine Foster.
