The nominations for the 41st Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards were announced this morning by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). Television's top-rated soap opera, The Young and the Restless, led the pack with 26 total nominations.

Three of the four network television daytime drama series -- The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, and The Young and the Restless -- were nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. They were joined by Prospect Park's One Life to Live, which broadcast a single season online in 2013.

ABC's General Hospital and Prospect Park's All My Children did not make the cut.

The Young and the Restless dominated the Lead Actor category; four of the five nominees -- Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Doug Davidson (Paul Williams), Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), and Billy Miller (Billy Abbott) -- were from the CBS soap. General Hospital's Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake) rounded out the group.

Thompson's co-stars Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos), Kelly Sullivan (ex-Connie Falconeri), and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri, GH) were among the first-time nominees this year. The Bold and the Beautiful's Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer) and Kim Matula (Hope Logan), Days of our Lives' Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), One Life to Live's Kelley Missal (Danielle Manning), and Y&R's Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) and Daniel Polo (Jamie Vernon) also earned their first nominations.

Long-time General Hospital favorite Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) earned a Supporting Actress nod, her first nomination since 1993. Elliot previously won in the category in 1981.

The Young and the Restless also earned a "Special Class" nomination for its hour-long special celebrating the life of Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor).

"With over 1,400 entries this year, the National Academy is again excited to welcome more than 350 nominees to this year's Daytime Emmy Awards," said Malachy Wienges, Chairman, NATAS. "We are happy to return to both the Beverly Hilton and the Westin Bonaventure for what I'm sure will be two very exciting nights for the Daytime television community!""

"These exciting nominations officially launch the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," said David Michaels, Senior Executive Director, Daytime. "This will be a true celebration of Daytime Television focusing on those behind the scenes that make so much of the great quality and innovation we see every day and those on-screen that invite us into the worlds of daytime drama, talk, legal courtroom, culinary, game shows, animation and children's programming we enjoy throughout the year. Congratulations to all the nominees!"

The 41st Annual Daytime Emmys will be handed out on June 22, 2014, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. A broadcast network has yet to be announced for this year's ceremony, but Soap Central will once again be on the Red Carpet, talking to all your favorite stars.
