At Company:
Rick is looking at a picture of Claire and says, "what have we gotten ourselves into Claire?" Abby comes in and asks who Claire is. Rick tried to get out of it and changed the subject. Abby wouldn't let it pass. She says things have been different lately, maybe because she has been gone so much. They talk about having a family and her not being ready but she thinks it is something else bothering him, something he is not telling her and it scares her. He says there is nothing to be scared of because she is the only thing that makes his life bearable. She asks again who Claire is. Rick lied and told her that she was an elderly patient of his and that was it. He told her that he is only concerned about his sister and Lizzie and that is what is making him tense.
Billy is on the phone to Matt, Matt gives him a list of things they need and Billy says he will get them. Billy goes in and orders then goes and sits down beside Holly who is also dining alone. Holly asks Billy for the ketchup and they chat a little while about Vanessa and their kids. They talk about how pathetic they are eating alone all the time and that they should be out having a good time. Holly starts to leave and Billy tells her that they should not sit together more often. He says he has a meeting, Holly says she has a date and she leaves.

In Chicago:
Harley walks up to a door of Dr. Claire Ramsey; She goes in and says she wants to ask about a former student in Springfield, Rick Bauer. She tells Claire that Rick is a friend of hers and Cedars wants to give him an award. Claire says she doesn't remember him. Harley is surprised she doesn't remember Rick, and mentions his dad being the chief of staff when she was in Springfield. Claire says she remembers Ed but not Rick. Harley told her that he got an F in her class and she changed it to an A. She still doesn't remember. Harley mentioned his drug problem in school and Claire finally blows up. She gets very upset and says, "Why are Doctors held to a higher standard than others." She says the past is the past and we should let it alone. Harley says sometimes the past cannot stay out of our lives.
Harley wants to know if she keeps any files and she says not many and then just the basic stuff. Harley asks her to look. She does and says there is nothing. Claire gets called out of the office and Harley says she is lying through her teeth. She gets up and goes through the files her self. She is caught and Claire gets very angry and says she is going to call security. Harley says she doesn't want to call the cops; Claire wants to know why she is after Rick. Harley tells her that she is being very defensive about someone she doesn't know. Claire wants to know who sent her, Harley again tells her that she is trying to help Rick and she leaves.

At Cedars:
Noah says there is a big problem, Lizzie is very sick. Lizzie's Doctor comes out and is angered by Noah's intrusion. He wants him thrown out; Phillip stops them and tells Noah to help Lizzie. Noah looks at her chart and points a few things out to the doc and the doc is upset that he hadn't seen that before. Apparently something was up with her electrolytes and she was about to go into Cardiac arrest. They realize Lizzie is very sick. Noah tells them all that she will be fine, let them work with her. Beth is scared hysterical and Phillip is left to comfort her. Phillip tells Beth that she has to take care of herself, Lizzie needs them both to be well and strong, Beth does not think she can do this, she has always needed him, he says she is strong now and she can do this, he goes into all she has survived in her life and tells her she will help Lizzie too. He says she must take care of herself both of their children need her. Beth is upset that he referred to the new baby as his as well and thinks he shouldn't do that. What if Harley or Jim had heard him say "our child?" He says let it go, she has, but he cannot. Jim walks up and wants to know if something is wrong.

Phillip and Beth explain to Jim about Lizzie. Noah comes out and says she is resting now, they thank him and Beth goes in to see Lizzie, Jim wants to say something to Phillip about Beth. Jim says they have had their differences but he is glad Beth has Phillip in her life she needs him. Phillip tells him that they need him on Lizzie's case. He offers him anything he wants to help his daughter. Noah tells him that he doesn't need money. As a matter of fact, all his work is done for children who have no resources pro bono. He also tells him that he only works with kids who are dire and Lizzie isn't that dire yet. Phillip offers him anything he could ever want and Noah tells him that Lizzie is being well taken care of here and he cannot be bought.
Lizzie says she felt less yucky now but still tired. Jim says she made the right choice and that the Doctors found a new white horse to slay the dragons.
Holly is at the hospital and runs into Billy, they are both going to an AA meeting, hence the meeting and the date they had, so they go in together.
Rick gets a phone call from Claire; she says she has to see him as soon as possible.

At the Beach:
Bill and Pilar on the beach Kissing she tells him how much she wants him to make love to her. He is caught up in the moment but manages to stop and tells her that he is worried since it is her first time and all. Bill says he is afraid that making love is her way of trying to forget what has happened, she says she doesn't need this and walks away, she screams he runs after her. She had stepped on glass. He carries her back and takes care of her foot, she apologizes, and he tells her that he does not love her because he thinks she is needy and weak. He sees another person someone strong. He wants to move on and put all the pain behind them. He wants to take her home but she wants to just stay on the beach with him awhile longer.

At Company:
While Jesse is gone after the champagne, Drew finds the note from Michelle and assumes that he has known where the fugitives have been the whole time. He comes back to the table and she acts like her mean untrusting self. She starts talking about Michelle and he tries to change the subject, telling her that he doesn't care where they are. Drew is convinced that he is lying to her again.
Theresa is on the phone to her father telling him about Ray and Cassie. She says she does not love Danny any more, she just want him to pay. Selena wants to know what is wrong with Drew, she tells her about the note she found. Drew wants to go the police but does not want to implicate Jesse. Theresa overhears the conversation and hears that Drew is going to confront Jesse. Theresa comes over to her and tells her Michelle is messing with Jesse's head just like she did with Danny's. Drew and Theresa continue to talk, Drew mentions San Cristobel . Theresa leaves and meets with one of her father's men. Drew confronts Jesse. She tells him that she knows about where Michelle and Danny are and has known the entire time. Jesse wants to know what Drew is talking about, she tells him about finding the case in his pocket. He wants to know what it is. He says he never saw it. Drew finally remembers it was Blake's. Jesse tells her that he loves her and wants to marry her. She assumed he was more involved, she tells him that Theresa knows where they are but she didn't mean to tell her. Jesse says he has to warn Michelle and Danny about Theresa, she may have just signed their death warrants. He leaves and Selena goes to Drew.

At Spaulding:
Noah tells Phillip that his accountant told him he was looking into his finances. Phillip says he still wants him to treat Lizzie and he will convince him. Noah tells him that he can't be bought. Phillip is trying to convince Noah to help Lizzie; Noah says that Lizzie does not need him. Lizzie comes into the room, she is working with Grandpa Alan today, he asks if she remembers Noah, she says she does from the hospital. She tells him about the knights and dragons, Noah says maybe he needs a white horse too. She heads off to her office but stops to give Noah a hug and Kiss. Phillip says they found his weakness. Noah says he doesn't take the kind of case Lizzie has. Phillip has an appointment and asks Noah to wait. Noah dials someone and says hello beautiful, how's the weather in Paris. He says he has been asked to take on a case and he wants her to know it is Lizzie Spaulding.
Edmund tells Beth he is not a hero that is Richard's role. Beth thinks he is a hero to her and Lizzie. He says he is a selective villain. He says when he was a boy he was not allowed to think he was special all the special ness was bestowed onto Richard. He was meant to do the unpleasant tasks. He would always be expendable. She says she knows how it feels she is classified as a needy person. He tells her that she is a strong loving mother. She says he takes her seriously. Then she says look at Cassie she goes from stripper to Princess not many people can do that. Edmund is surprised to hear that and seems pleased at that little bit on information. Beth says Cassie always land feet first and tells him that one of her stage names was Shady Lane. He is getting more and more pleased with the information. Beth comes out of the office with Edmund and they run into Noah and Phillip. Lizzie runs up to Edmund, he picks her up and they talk then she has to go back to work. Noah agrees to be Lizzie's Doctor.
Later, Edmund looks up Teaser's on the internet and finds information on "Shady Layne." He talks to himself about making sure Cassie does not escape her past.

At the Farm:
Cassie notices that someone broke in to her house. She eases in and sees a shadow go across behind her. She turns around and runs into Richard. She says she thought someone broke in and she kisses him He says he had some business to take care of and he missed her. He told her that he also had a project for the farm. He has packed some of her things to take back to SC so she would feel less homesick. She says it was a wonderful surprise. He wanted to get the most important things to her and she says he always has. He asks if there are any other things she needs and she says no just you. Cassie moves a box, he says he hopes she is not upset about him packing her things, she says she felt funny about coming back, it was her first real home and she wanted for RJ to know his father, but it is not her home any more, her home is with him. He was thinking that their love would not be enough for her, after the big buildup, the reality might not be what she had hoped. Her fantasies were wonderful but do not hold a candle to the real thing, they kiss, she says she loves him and has never been surer. She says lets put everything back, she doesn't want to take anything with her, she comes to the picture of Hart and stops. Cassie looks at the picture of Hart that he had packed. He tells her that they both have had other people in their lives and a child should never be deprived of knowing his father. She says there are things she will probably never forget but Hart was a good thing. Hart loved the farm and belongs at the farm; she puts the picture back on the mantle. She says it is time for both of them to move on. She says she is ready to leave and go home with him.

She was thinking about Lizzie. He asks if she was feeling a bit neglected and she said maybe a little when it comes to Beth. Jim thought things were ok with Susan and Beth. Susan says she just wants her dad to be happy. She saw them after dinner being happy about the baby and Susan started thinking about her mom and how she wanted a baby and couldn't have one. He tells her that when they got her their lives were complete and wonderful. Susan says Beth didn't have to do much and she got pregnant but her mom tried and tried and never could and she doesn't think that is fair. Jim says just because he loves Beth he still loves her mother and he will love her when the baby comes as well. Jim tells her a story about when her mom found out she could not have children. It was before they got married, she went away leaving a letter, he tracked her down told her all that mattered was that they get married. They were happy then and happier when they adopted her.

At Company:

In San Cristobel , Santos House:
Danny and Michelle are going stir crazy waiting on Ray to call with news on Ruth Lockhart. They talk a little about how Danny's mom was such an awful person and how lucky Michelle is to have had Maureen for a mom even if it was only an adopted relationship. Michelle said that Maureen was her only mother and Claire is nothing like a mother to her. Ray calls from Carmen's office. He finds the key and the secret hiding spot in the desk. He hangs up to start calling the numbers to see if one of them belongs to Ruth. One of Carmen's men come in and asked him what he is up to. He tells him that there is some personal family matters he has to take care of while Carmen is away and that if the guard didn't want him to do them then he could explain that to Carmen when she returns. The guy leaves, Ray begins making calls. He calls Danny and Michelle back with the news, he found her. Danny tells him to go talk to her but not to scare her away. They thank him and hang up. Time for celebration, the two kiss and lie down on the floor. Later, Michelle hears a noise. She turns from kissing Danny and Theresa bursts in the door holding a gun. Danny jumped in front of Michelle to protect her.

At the Reardon Hideaway:
Matt and Billy conspire on the porch. Matt tells Billy how they have to keep up the act about Carmen being in jail and Michelle going free just until Vanessa gets well. Matt tells Billy that he should go in and stay with Vanessa while he goes and gets some video equipment that he was going to use to convince Vanessa that the police wants her to do a video statement. Billy goes in with Matt and Matt tells her that he has to leave and Billy is going to stay awhile. They explain about the video confession and Vanessa tells them both that she thought they were lying to her. Matt leaves after promising Vanessa that they were being honest. Billy continues the story until Vanessa asks him if he had been drinking. He tells her that he has been sober for 6 years and she told him that she didn't understand then because he used to never lie to her unless he was drinking and she knows he is lying now. After a little persuading, Billy admits that it was made up and that Danny and Michelle were on the run and he had no idea where they were. She felt terrible and wanted to know why they lied to her. Matt comes in and tells her that they had to. She told them both that she had to confess. She says that Maureen was her best friend and she had to help Michelle. Matt said he would call the cops and tells them that they were coming in. Billy left. Matt went onto the porch and called the plane he chartered. He told them that he had reservations for a flight for 3 to Switzerland and they had to leave immediately. Vanessa had gotten out of bed and walked outside and overheard him. She said "Matt, you have to stop this."

In Chicago:
Harley and frank are outside Claire's office. She tells him to distract her until she can get the file. Frank knocks on her door and asks her to talk to him about medical school. Claire keeps telling him that he should go to the admissions desk and get information. He finally persuades her out of the office to walk him to the admissions desk so he can talk to her some more. They leave and Harley goes in. She checks the files and Rick's is gone. She starts searching the office until she finds a box hidden behind some books. She opens it and finds the files. She takes a digital camera and starts snapping picture of the pages in the file. Frank can't keep Claire any longer and tries everything. Outside her door he even tells her that he doesn't want to go to medical school, he just wanted to talk to her. She tells him that she isn't interested in married men. He looked at his ring and told her that he really wasn't married. She opened the door and he again got her attention. Harley crouched down behind the desk. She told him to leave. He told her that he was a policeman and it seemed that she needed a policeman. She didn't understand. He told her that her desk was being burglarized and pointed out Harley. Harley couldn't believe he turned her in.

In Chicago:
Frank points out Harley to Claire and she tells her to get out of her office. Frank tells her that he will handle it and placed Harley under arrest. He carted her out of the office and Claire tells him that arresting her may be pushing things. Frank insists and he and Harley go down the hall. Claire goes in the office and finds that Harley had found the file. She knew that Harley probably read the file and tried to call the police department to talk to the officer who arrested Harley. She called and asked for the phony name, Buzz Mc Daniel or something like that. She learns that was a bogus name and assumes that she had been set up. She grabs Rick's file and heads out of the office.

At the Reardon Hideaway:
Vanessa tells Matt she is going to testify. He again tells her that she needs to leave with them to Switzerland. She starts to collapse on the porch and he takes her back into the house and puts her on the bed, she wants to know how he could have lied to her. Matt is afraid for her, he thinks Carmen will try to kill her, Vanessa pleads with him to let her tell the police. He says he love her and leaves to pack to leave. She is determined and she gets the phone from the bed stand to call Billy. Holly answered instead. Holly answers Billy's phone and it is Vanessa, she need someone to come get her at the cabin. Holly says Vanessa are you all right; Drew hears her say Vanessa's name. Matt comes in Vanessa drops the phone and tells him she dropped it trying to get to the water glass. At Company, Drew started to question Holly about Vanessa but Holly told her she had to go. Drew followed.
Again, Matt came out and told Vanessa they were leaving. He has the bags packed this time and goes to pick her up. She tells him that she wasn't leaving and admits that she called Holly and she was on her way. Holly walked in and asked if she was okay. Vanessa asks her for her help. She told her that she had to get to the police to confess. She tells her that she was in Ben's apartment that night and that she was the one to fire the fatal shot. Drew came in and overheard that part. Vanessa went ahead and told them both everything that happened and how Carmen shot Ben and she came in and there was a struggle and the gun accidentally went off. Drew understood, finally, that it was an accident and acted as if she felt bad for turning on Michelle. She told Holly that she sent bad people after her in San Cristobel . Vanessa wants Holly's help spreading the word about what happened to help Michelle get off. Holly agrees to help but thinks they need to get the DA there ASAP. She goes to call him. Matt tells her that he only wanted them to be together forever.

At Company:
Drew is approached by Bernardo, who asks her where Theresa was. She tells him that she doesn't know. He tells her that Theresa has his gun and will kill Danny and Michelle and he knows she told her where they were. She gets upset and wonders if she would really kill them. Bernardo says she definitely will and Drew ends up telling him that they are in San Cristobel. He tells her that he will take care of it and she leaves. Bernardo calls someone and tells them to take care of both Danny and Michelle and to keep Theresa out of it.

In San Cristobel:
Theresa comes into the house; Danny wants to know how she got in. She gives him a chance to correct his mistakes. She aims the gun at him and he tells her that she will not accomplish what she wants by killing him, she says you are right and aims at Michelle. She moves to try to get Michelle and tells him to get out of the way. He says she is not a killer and she would be put away forever. Danny says if she kills Michelle she will have to kill him too. Theresa says she loves him and he will love her again she has nothing left to lose. Danny is still trying to talk Theresa into putting the gun down, they talk about how it used to be, how he used to love her but that had all changed. He says he has always been honest and he only loves Michelle now. Michelle looks at the phone. Danny says Theresa deserves to be happy she starts to put the gun down, Michelle picks up the phone, Theresa says you little witch and fires the gun. After the smoke cleared, Theresa says she was aiming for the phone. Michelle says she is mad and is not going down without a fight, she is sorry her heart is broken but Danny doesn't love her and if she is going to kill her to do it and get it over with. Theresa asks Danny if he ever thought of her when he was making love with Michelle. Michelle told him to tell her what she wants to hear. He told her that he did and she called him a liar. He told her that he tells her the truth and she gets mad so he lies and she calls him a liar. He doesn't know what she wants. He tells her it is over between them and he wishes he could make her pain go away and asks her again to give him the gun. She tells him, nothing means anything to her without him. She wants it back like it used to be she points the gun at Michelle's head and starts to fire, Danny grabs the gun and Michelle gets away. Danny has the gun, Theresa says she will call her fathers people, there is a pounding on the door and she tells them that it is her fathers goons, coming to kill Danny and Michelle both. Someone busts through the window and Danny shoots. It's Jesse.

At Cedar's:
Lizzie sees Abby walking in the hospital. Abby asks how she feels; Lizzie says she is responding well. They talk about each being in the hospital and Abby tells her about her cochlear implants, and how she felt, and how tough times make you stronger. Rick comes in and hears the end of their conversation. Lizzie invites them to dinner but they have plans. They tell her she can come over soon though. Lizzie has to go meet her mom at the nursery. She says she loves babies and cant wait until her new brother or sister is born. She tells Rick and Abby that she will babysit all their kids when they have them.

At Harley's:
Back in Springfield, Frank drops Harley at her house and she goes over to her computer and downloads her documents. She skims the first part until she comes upon something that struck her. Harley reads through it again and it upset her. She says, "oh no, oh, Rick no."
