Liz reminded Eve how she'd disgraced yet another set of family members just as she had done years before. T.C. and Sam nearly caught Chad sneaking in through Whitney's bedroom window. The news of Sheridan's pregnancy put a smile on Antonio's face but sent shockwaves through the rest of the Lopez-Fitzgerald clan.
Liz continued to taunt Eve about her daughters' complete lack of trust in their absentee mother. Beth hoped that Sheridan's dilemma would drive a permanent wedge between her and Luis. Certain she'd lost Chad forever, Simone complained bitterly to Kay about her misfortune. Sam warned an enraged T.C. to stop uttering death threats all over town. Though Whitney tried to dissuade him, Chad insisted on clearing the air with her dad.
As Antonio celebrated impending fatherhood, Luis realized that his brother might be an uncle instead. T.C. viciously attacked Chad as Whitney screamed for him to stop. Bruce explained to Alistair and the others how he had staged a fake wedding to trick Julian and Theresa into thinking they were married.
Watching through the window as T.C. mercilessly pummeled Chad, a gleeful Liz informed Eve that her happy little family life was completely kaput. Stunned by Bruce's admission, Theresa reeled to think that her marriage to Julian had been nothing more than an elaborate practical joke. Luis quietly admitted to Pilar and Miguel that Sheridan's baby might also be his.
Meanwhile, Antonio guessed that Sheridan's pregnancy was the big secret his brother and his wife were hiding. Certain Julian had paid Bruce off to lie, Ethan assured Theresa he'd make some calls to the island for confirmation of the legality of her wedding. Liz reminded Eve how her scandalous behavior had destroyed their poor mother years earlier.
As the awful truth sunk in, Theresa fainted dead away into Ethan's arms while Gwen rolled her eyes in disgust. Luis threw a damper on Sheridan's bliss by reminding her that her baby's paternity was in question. Meanwhile, Beth reeled to overhear their conversation, but a clueless Antonio told his mother his happiness was complete, since he was about to become a dad.
Eve and Sam finally stepped between T.C. and Chad, but the combatants continued to shout at one another. After convincing Chad to go, Whitney screeched at her father for his brutal behavior. Miguel uneasily played along when an exuberant Antonio talked of their children growing up together.
Theresa's day got even worse when Alistair informed her she no longer had a job at Crane Industries. Simone spat out her hatred for Whitney while T.C. ripped into Eve for neglecting their children. Julian repeated his demand that Theresa leave the mansion immediately. Luis assured Sheridan that nothing would change the way he felt about her.
Eve received word of a major emergency at the hospital but elected not to go in when she watched Liz moving even closer to T.C. and the girls. Antonio began calling everyone he knew to share the good news of his impending fatherhood. Theresa was outraged when Julian barred her from removing baby Ethan. Although both Fox and Ethan raised their voices in support of the young mother's parental rights, Julian announced that he'd legally obtained temporary custody of his infant son.
T.C. was pleased by Eve's decision to put her family over her career, but Liz glared at her sister from across the room. After perusing the writ, Ethan regretfully informed Theresa that she had to leave her baby in Julian's care. The Russells held a family meeting to clear the air, but Simone continued to lash out at Whitney in a blind rage.
Antonio took Sheridan to the hospital nursery to view the newborns. Later, Luis overheard his brother and Sheridan dreamily discussing possible names for the baby. A second frantic call from the hospital forced Eve into a difficult decision.
Sheridan began to crack under the strain of keeping such an enormous secret from Antonio. Liz lent T.C. a sympathetic ear as he bemoaned the fact that his wife's career had driven such a wedge between them. Tabitha went for a spin when her pregnancy set off another bizarre symptom. Julian ordered his security men to break down the door to Theresa's bedroom. Meanwhile, Ethan tried to gain access through an adjoining room, but Theresa knocked him out cold.
As she treated burn victims from the accident at the refinery, Eve couldn't stop worrying that Liz was taking advantage of her absence to move closer to T.C. At the studio, Chad and Whitney's consoling embrace quickly turned to passion. Kay invoked a spell to stop Tabitha's twirling. Liz assured T.C. that his neglectful wife was solely responsible for their daughters' dilemma.
Pilar phoned Luis for help as Theresa continued to fend off Julian's efforts to evict her. Later, Julian threatened to fire Ethan unless he let the security guards in. Simone caught a shocking glimpse of her sister and Chad when she peered into Tabitha's magic bowl.
