Episode Synopsis: Ann Douglas returned to Los Angeles and fell ill. Left alone with her mother, Pam was forced to decide whether to let her mother die or disobey her orders and call the paramedics for assistance. Pam called the medics and later grappled with her decision. Stephanie and Pam fought with the doctor to allow their mother to die, but their pleas were rejected. Later, Pam and Stephanie were able to check their mother out of the hospital and they took her to the beach, where she died peacefully.

Zach took the fall for the accident, and faced the wrath of those in attendance at the wedding when it was revealed that Greenlee was presumed dead. Aidan stopped Annie from shooting Ryan, and later promised her that he'd get her the help she needed. Before taking her back to the authorities, Aidan allowed Annie to say goodbye to her daughter, Emma.

James went into cardiac arrest while alone in a room with Audrey, and Henry feared she'd done something to him. Henry later found a syringe and realized his suspicions were right. Paul and Emily admitted their love for each other, but Emily said that there were too many obstacles to get married.
